Built for the 2023 Global Game Jam with the theme of Roots. Unfortunately my team fell ill the day the jam started. Therefore I did the one thing I advise against... I jammed alone. Given the theme most teams were making games about tree roots and tunnels and organic growth. I went in a slightly different direction and built a very short game about dying hair roots.
Gameplay
Spray the bleach and hair dyed on the sad customer, until the hair is revitalised and the customer is happy.
The Controller
After a strange scavenger hunt, emptying and cleaning I managed to turn a shampoo bottle into a controller. By attaching an IMU orientation sensor the game would control the virtual bottle matching 1:1 the orientation of the real-life bottle.
